Description & warning

This battery is specially designed for modern cameras like the Lomo MC-A that can handle the higher voltage of lithium-ion batteries. It offers modern convenience through the direct USB-C charging port.

Why we warn against use in old cameras:
A classic camera (e.g., Contax G2) that requires 2x CR2 batteries expects a voltage of 6.0 volts (2x 3.0V).
If you insert two of these 3.7V batteries, you supply the camera with 7.4 volts (freshly charged even up to 8.4 volts).
This overvoltage of more than 40% can immediately destroy sensitive capacitors and light meters of 90s electronics. Even new cameras like the Pentax 17 explicitly warn against such batteries. Please use this battery only in modern devices approved for it.

Note: Due to safety regulations for lithium-ion batteries, shipping is only available within Germany.


Compatibility

IMPORTANT NOTICE: This battery is a 3.7V Li-Ion battery and is NOT suitable for older cameras designed for 3.0V CR2 batteries. Using it in such devices can cause irreparable damage. It is exclusively designed for modern devices explicitly made for this higher voltage.

  • Lomography: Lomo Instant Automat Glass, Lomo MC-A
  • Other modern devices: Flashlights, sensors, or cameras that explicitly support 3.7V Li-Ion CR2 batteries.

Most vintage cameras (Canon EOS 300, 500N, 3000N, Nikon F55, F65, Minolta Dynax 5, Dynax 40, Contax G1, G2, Pentax MZ series, etc.) are designed for 3.0V batteries and therefore NOT compatible with this 3.7V Li-Ion battery.
