Description

The LR44 is the absolute classic among button cells. It is used in countless analog cameras, but also in calculators and watches. Since it is an alkaline battery, the voltage slowly decreases over its lifetime. For many cameras, this is not a problem because they have bridge circuits.

Important notes on choosing the right battery:

1. Alkaline vs. silver oxide: If you need maximum runtime and absolutely constant voltage (important for precise light meters in some cameras), we recommend high-quality SR44 (silver oxide) batteries instead. The LR44 is the affordable "bread-and-butter" solution.

2. Replacement for mercury batteries (1.35V): Old mercury cells (PX675) are no longer produced. If your camera strictly requires 1.35 V (and cannot handle 1.5 V), please use Type 675 hearing aid batteries (zinc-air).
