Description

Many classic cameras like the Minolta Hi-Matic E or the Olympus 35 EC were designed for the constant voltage of 1.35V mercury batteries. Since these batteries (PX640) are no longer available, this adapter offers a functional solution. It is precisely made and adapts a common 675 zinc-air cell to the PX640 format.

Unlike alkaline batteries, whose voltage steadily drops and is initially too high (1.5V), zinc-air cells maintain a constant voltage of about 1.4V. This ensures correct exposure values without recalibrating the camera. The adapter itself is purely mechanical and passes the current directly.

Important note: NEVER charge in the original charger. Zinc-air batteries are not rechargeable.
